IMEA is pleased to launch the Muncie Area Symposium and Clinic, a full-bodied professional development event for educators — specifically in the Muncie area.

This year’s event will offer sessions for all levels of Music Educators in Band, Orchestra, Choral and General Music.

Scott Lang (HS Clinician)
For almost a decade, Scott Lang has been educating and entertaining student and adult audiences of all ages through his workshops and keynote presentations. As a nationally known leadership trainer for the past seven years, Scott works with some of America’s top ensembles and conducts over 100 workshops annually. He is a G.I.A. sponsored clinician and is the author of Leadership Success, Leadership Travel Guide, and Leadership Survival Guide.

Dr. Joani Brandon (EL Clinician)
Dr. Joani Somppi Brandon serves as a professor of music, teaching music education general/choral methods and Women’s Chorus. She has worked with all ages of singers from early elementary to adults and is a frequent clinician and guest conductor. Joani is the national president of the Feierabend Association for Music Education, as well as the a past repertoire chair for the elementary and middle school divisions of the Indiana State School Music Association.
