The Children’s International Folk Dance Festival typically showcases thousands of children from across Indiana in grades three through eight performing international folk dances. Since 1971, these students have learned the dances from music, P.E., and/or grade-level teachers throughout the academic year in preparation for the festival. The dances come from the Kentucky Dance Institute, a summer dance festival showcasing international dances.

Registration is not yet available for 2026.  The registration deadline is April 1, 2026.

Registration Form: Register your school first, then look for an email from the Folk Dance Festival Chair which will include the Folk Dance Festival documents and dances.

Student Roster Form: After you have registered your school using the Registration Form button above, you will need to register your individual students by clicking on the Student Roster Form button below.  Your school will not be listed in the dropdown list on the form below until you have registered your school.
